somehow SUPER 8 seems like a Stephen King book. Note: I didn't say 'movie,' I said 'book.' It reads like a King book, saturated with tension and compelling personalities; we don't know what's going to happen, but we're involved immediately.
the best train aciedent you will ever see on film - totally over-the-top
unrealistic, but the best youwill ever see. (Besides any given Rob Schnieder film.)
military gathering all the white "rubik's cubes" from crash site - decidedly changed shpe overnight
set in the70's fashions, mosuci - guy has a waslkman cassette. and they're using super 8 film!
strange things happening around town - loses his dog - goes to pin it up on buletin board - whole board filled with missing pets - car dealer - all his engines cleanly remived - military takeing raadioactivity readings around town.
Meanwhile something gigantic and strong busts out of the train carriage - ocasionaly glimpsesof some kind of gigantic beast throwing gigantic things
remarkable perofmances from yougn guy - almost like that guy from ALMOST FAMOUS - the samt "types" keep appearing in our world = and remarkable form that yougn girl as well, reminds of Choloe Grace Moretz.
is super 8 the new ET? Spielberg had a hand in producer - JJ Abrams director - a lot more bombast and a lot more destruction and misunderstanding and terror enacted by the msall-minded US minlitary - so this is a much more realistic view of ET. trying to get home.
