but you poor boy, let me tell you something about
Superman. Even if he did exist, Superman is too incognizant of social structure or the disparity of welath distribution to make a difference anyway. He only punches the lowest end bad guys, the RESULTS of the wealth disparity and low edication, not the CAUSERS of it. He knows nothign about REAL crime, he'll just tackle the bottom cogs. allways keep in mind that our current school system is still set up for the Agrarian Age, is only gradually in tporcess of catching up theiht information Age, and has never been about "education" that wa s by-prodict of herding children into these meat factories to churn them out as productive peons of society.

there are solutions - when you get the culture right. you've got to start from virth and reassess the culture - some teachers are doing this, KIPP school founded by two guys "knowledge is power" revolutionary mtethods some dismiss them, but they are changing the culture. so that school DOES become a place of learning, rather than parroting.

They say "education is a way out." Correct. But this main tenet of this docu fails to mention that schools were not originally the place for education per se. That's a recent development, probably even as reent as post WWII. agrarian age institution to get kids into the workforce en masse. train them all in same disciplines to help on the farm or with mother's chores, knotting, weaving, etc. School was originaly started as a holding pen for agrarian age children to be housed and taught the methodology of farming, etc. School was an institution to send children out into the workforce - menaial labor and industril age catchall. The "Educative" aspect is relatively recent meme, probably only post-World War II. Schools began to become synonymous with "Education"

100 mil a year for incometent teachers to be sent to "rubber room" for some kind of traffic school kind of thing where they play cards and read all day - lateness, sexual abuse amongst hostof problemes.

public scholl teachers tenure is automatic
unlike many documentaries of this nature that follow winners, or people who are successful in their quests, this doc follows a few losers. We see them losing out on the lottery to get into school with limited spaces.
