James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo are brilliant - such controlled and mature actors. If only Kristen Stewart could have contributed more than her Shatner Pause-Acting and forced statements. I'd make that old gag about Stewart wearing enough mascara to embarrass a prostitute, except she IS a prostitute here. Which doesn't bode well for her wearing exactly the same amount when playing a besotted teen.

melissa overcomes her fear - inept at even pushing buttons to adjust car seat - takes car out of garage, crasges a couple obstacles and goes on drive across country to meet her husband. the good thing is: she's not going becaus eshe' afeared of him foling around - even thoguh he is philandering at every opportinuty - she is doing it to come back to him, to gain his love again - to push past her misery over daiughrtre'rs death.

when meillsa leo comes out, she falls under the spell of taking care of this person - when in dept star - "excue me maam your daiughter wants you" that was a sealant like epoxiGrip.
melissa leo opens up to kristen - the only person shehas told about her dead daughter - clams up to everyone elsep but feels a kinship or whatver to open up to stewart.
she's a stripper and we see nothing! Is that a contractual thing or a modesty thing or what? I have much more respect for Marisa Tomei, who, when she plays a stripper or slut, is not afraid to show off her body naked; (and it helps that she's a better actor), but Steawart she's a stripper and we never see one peek a boo, not one snatch of snatch? There's something disturbing abotu a woman with no breasts who's scared to show them in a movie -. What do you think we're missing, What do you think yu're depriving us of? There's nothing thre - so it dretracts from the orle when this prudishness is so overt. movie becoame s a little less realistic.
the thing about helping girls lke this - no matter how much love and support you lavish on some people, they are incorriglbe; they have grown so used to a way of life -- that is the only way to exist - cannot see any othe rout , any long term plans - will always conitnuen to be that - no matter how much you give - they will take and take and take - never change. unreliable, ungrateful, you'll neve hav ea happy ending - she will exploit the fact that she has a benefiactor with no thanks - thanksless. h eeven bails her out of jail - thre is no happy ending - but this movie gives us an eding of hope - that though she ios going her own weay, she might justbe alright . No. No she won't trust me. I/m no Charlie Sheen, but I know these women.
shew can't be that much of a fuckup if she still has her cell phone. The strippers *I* know: alwasys losing their phone, account goes dead, always chanign their number becaus they're so incognizant they give out their numbers to stalkers, , different plans, leaving it in a store, getting it cut off from not paying the bill, having to get a new plan because one company cuts them off |
